Note that while service will not be interrupted, there is potential for elevated turbidity or cloudiness if you use water during the routine maintenance.
Flushing will take place from 8:00am-4:00pm on Thursday, June 27th and may continue on Friday, June 28th. Please restrict your water usage during this time.
Should you experience cloudiness, run your cold-water taps until the water runs clear after 4:00 pm.

This is due to increased turbidy (cloudiness) as a result of warming temperatures, rain events and rapid snow melt. The advisory will be rescinded when the water quality has improved. This is NOT a Boil Water Notice.

The North Shore Utility will be conducting water main repair work on Monday April 25, 2022 on Sutherland Drive.
Water will be shut off for all NSWU customers for a short amount of time (1-2 hours).
Customers of NSWU on Sutherland Dr (#639, 645 and 648) may experience a longer service disruption.
Residents will be notified of any updates or further water disruptions. We apologise for any inconvenience.

On April 22, NSWU will be doing exploratory work on the water main in the vacinity of 639, 645 and 648 Sutherland Dr. No service disruption is anticipated.
Repair work on the water main will be conducted the week of April 25. Water may be shut off for a short amount of time (1-3 hours). An update on repair work will be provided and onsite staff will update these residences prior to shutting off the water / when water is back on.

Water main repairs will be done at 564 and 570 Goddard Road. No disruption of service to the surrounding residents is anticipated. Residents will be notified by onsite crew of any water disruption.

The North Shore Water Utility has issued a Water Quality Advisory (WQA).
This is NOT a Boil Water Advisory; you do not need to boil your water UNLESSyou have a compromised immune system.
This is a precautionary water quality advisory due to increased turbidy (cloudiness) as a result of warming temperatures and rapid snow melt.
While health risks are considered low, the North Shore Water Utility and Interior Health recommend that young children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems, and anyone seeking additional protection drink boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice. For these at-risk populations, water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making beverages or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled for one minute.
Health risks increase as turbidity rises, particularly for at risk populations. Contaminants such as viruses, bacteria, and parasites can attach themselves to the suspended particles in turbid water. These particles can interfere with disinfection, limiting chlorine's ability to remove or inactivate the contaminants.
Owners of all public facilities must post a water quality advisory at all sinks or drinking water fountains accessible to the public (alternatively, public fountains and taps may be turned off). As opportunities arise, they must also advise their clientele verbally of the water quality advisory.
The advisory will be rescinded when the water quality has improved.

Notice to residents of BridgeBay Road that there will be a temporary water main shut down from approximately 10am - 2pm tomorrow, July 12, 2017. NSWU will be excavating to repair the recent water main leak.
NSWU apologizes for this inconvenience and will employ all efforts to return water to the residents.

There will be a temporary water service interruption today Monday July 10th for reseidents in Bridge Bay only from approximately noon- to as late as 3pm. Water will be shut off to determine if and where the waterleak is on Bridge Bay Rd. If a leak is confirmed another notice will follow with details regarding the time and duration of the repair.
